Can't find that tanoa (kava bowl) where you live? Perhaps there's a substitute with a modern flair. I found that our local Costco (Hawai'i kai) has the Pomerant 2, teak-finish, wood salad bowl with tripod and utensils for $24.99. It's suppose to hold 14.5 liters (about 3 gallons).

The bowl has a carved inset on its bottom to better sit on the tripod. The tripod legs are set with screws and are removeable by hand twisting.
