2004 Hawai'i Pacific Islands Kava Festival
yee Our volunteer counters stationed at the entrance to Lyon have indicated that we received about 2500 guests for the first kava festival (in the world [:)]), Oct. 4, 2003. Some vendors sold out all their goods. The VIPs (Hawai'i Speaker of the House, Chairman of Ways & Means, Lieutanent Gov. Chief of Staff, UH Dean) expressed happiness and satisfaction with the festival. And perhaps most important we saw a lot of smiling keiki and adults. Pictures are still being collected (if you have some please feel free to send them in) and will be posted. Mahalo nui loa for all those who supported the festival in resources or spirit.
