Pure Kavalactones
jposer I generally enjoy the traditional drink. However, I have been seeing some 80 to 90% pure kavalactone products on the market (http://kickbackwithkava.com and http://www.ethnobotanicals.com/Kava-kava.html) . Has anyone tried these products? Are they safe and effective? I don't want any leaves or stem peelings. However, if they are good, they would sure be convenient.
artvandolay Hi, I use a tincture from Herb Pharm. Don't know the exact makeup with respect to percentage of kavalactones, but it is actually very good. Maybe 60 drops for sleeping, 90 for relaxation purposes. It's not the traditional drink, but in a pinch it works just fine.
Patrizia Hello, I am new in this forum but I ordered the capsules from ethnobotanicals last week. I hope they will come soon. Did you make experiences with ethnobotanicals?

mainlandkavalover I've ordered the 84% paste, but have yet to receive it. Did you ever give it a try? I'm curious how it compares to the traditional root. I'm thinking since it is more concentrated, it might absorb better under the tongue than regular powder.
Patrizia I could not try it, because the custom send it back to the company. In some weeks an american friend bring the paste to me. Did you try the ethnobotanicals paste? Is it effective and nice for the stomach?
KavaJava I have tried the 85% kavalactone softgels. I won't mention the company name. I found them worthless. Maybe they were old as the bottle did not have an expiration date on it. I thought it would be a convenient alternative to mixing up my nightly brew using good quality Moi. Unfortunately, I have not found anything better than just doing things the old fashioned way.
